Koenigsegg has revealed their new mega car at Geneva International motor show 2019. The next generation of Agera RS is named after Jesko Von Koenigsegg, father of Christian Von Koenigsegg - Founder and CEO of Koenigsegg. As the Agera, Jesko also a track based road legal car. The new car offers advanced aerodynamics over 1000 kg of down force. Jesko has active rear wheel steering system which offers greater cornering. The new car has a new chassis, transmission and new engine. Agera’s upgraded engine is a 5.0 litre twin - turbo V8 which produce 1280 hp in standard gasoline and 1600 hp in E85 bio-fuel. The transmission is a revolutionary new 9-speed koenigsegg Light Speed Transmission (LST). By looking at these features, Jesko is going to be a revolution in the super car industry.

Christian Von Koenigsegg started his company and became a super car brand which broke the speed barrier belief of the super car industry. He also invented many optimizing vehicle performance parts which made a huge impact in the super car market. From the outside, the car look more beautiful than the previous car. In the inside Jesko also brings new features in the market. The re-designed carbon fibre chassis offers more legroom, headroom and greater visibility. In the previous car when the door opens, distance from ground was less. But in Jesko, this problem is solved.

The power house of the car is a new 5.0 litre twin - turbo V8 engine with re-designed pistons and world’s lightest V8 crankshaft weighing just 12.5 kilos. The new flat-plane 180 degree crankshaft is capable to produce more power and efficiency achieving a higher 8500 rpm rev limit. The piston’s curved face shapes the combustion chamber in such a way so as to reduce peak pressure while maintaining high average pressure. The ceramic coating on the face of the piston prevents hot spots and detonation when the engine runs at maximum power. The piston weighs just 290 grams. Minimal weight is important because Koenigsegg engines have a very long stroke and at 8500 rpm, efficiency of movement becomes critical.

The engine power is transmitted to the wheels by the new 9-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST) with multi-clutch. Jesko introduces the world’s first multi-clutch transmission system. It contain nine forward gears and several wet-multi disc clutches in a compact ultra light package. The Koenigsegg LST overcomes the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) via it’s multi-clutch design and Ultimate Power On Demand (UPOD) technology, which selects the optimum gear for maximum power with a light speed gear change, regardless of whether that gear is 1,2 or even 5 gears away. Combining the engine and transmission, Jesko is capable of producing 1280 hp in standard gasoline. The surprising factor is that, by using E85 bio fuel it can produce 1600 hp !

Koenigsegg has equipped with an adaptive, active rear steering system that increases responsiveness and heightens the senses at both high and low speeds. Using inputs such as speed, throttle and brake positions, steering and slip angles and other parameters, the steering system can turn the rear wheels up to three degrees in either direction for quicker cornering and increased stability.

The company announced only 125 of these beast will be made. So there is only  few lucky people in the world will have the opportunity to own them. It is sure about that Jesko is going to be  a revolutionary car in the super car industry.
