FIRST LOOK : Yamaha FZ - S FI Version 3.0

Yamaha just came up with their new bike for Indian riders and it is the most advanced Yamaha Blue Core concept with Anti - Lock Braking System installed. The bike offers unmatched experience of performance and efficiency. This is the third generation of FZ - S FI. The new bike looks really sharp and feels more comfortable when riding.

      On the looks the bike look more sharp and have a much more road presence. Version 3.0 have muscular body with matte color combination gives a wild and sporty look. It comes in three colors - matte blue, matte black and green cyan. The forward lean design create a “Forward Massive Form” that expresses a sense of hidden power. This was achieved by harmonizing the fuel tank design with it’s pushed forward look, compact tail assembly, the short muffler and other elements.

       The new LED headlight provides excellent visibility over a wide range. Yamaha provided a new negative LCD instrument cluster which has a black background and white lettering. It fuses digital speedometer, bar-style tachometer above, fuel gauge and they are always displayed. Odometer, trip 1, trip 2, F trip, clock can be selected. It also shows ABS warning and ECO indicator to enable more fuel efficient riding. Single piece seat is equipped with cushioning material which makes driving more comfortable for both rider and pillion rider. Mono cross suspension offers 120 mm of wheel travel which is best for comfortable travelling. The advanced mid - ship muffler cover looks sharp and have less weight.

Power house is the all new Yamaha Fuel - Injection (FI) Blue Core engine. It uses advanced sensors and actuators to calculate and deliver the optimum amount of fuel to the engine thus enhancing both performance and mileage. The new FZ - S FI have an air - cooled 4 stroke 149 cc SOHC 2 - valve, single - cylinder fuel - injected “BLUE CORE” engine. It generate a power of 13.2 PS @ 8000 rpm. Engine settings were optimized to further polish the feeling of superior acceleration from stop and when over - taking. With this power, the new FZ - S FI weighs less than the previous one, only 132 kg. This weight loss helps the bike to have great  power delivery and gives more acceleration from stand still and when over - taking.

       For safety FZ - S FI  has front disc with Bosch single channel Anti - Lock Braking System and rear disc brakes. For riding quality it has a 140 mm wide radial tyre, 100/80-17 in the front and 140/60-17 in the rear. The new bike has a 12 Litre fuel tank with fuel economy of 53 Km/l. Top speed of 107 km/h. Price starts from 97,680 Rupees and can add accessories like tank pad, skid plate, USB charger, graphic set and seat cover.
